Biowater’s new CFIC® technology hits the Chinese market

Hits the Chinese market: Biowater Technology AS and Sichuan Science City Tianren Environmental Protection Co. LTD in Shichuan (Tianren), China, has signed a contract where Biowater will deliver its new and patented CFIC® technology for a new municipal wastewater plant in Guiyang City, Guizhou, China.

This new plant will be built in several stages and when fully developed, it will serve 1,16 mill people. The first phase serves 75.000 people and has a value for Biowater of NOK 11 mill.

- This is a very important contract for us and confirms the advantages of our CFIC® technology with focus on energy savings and reduced footprint, says Terje Andersen, CEO of Biowater Technology. - The CFIC® technology has been developed and tested over a period of 5 years, especially with focus on municipal plants with stringent effluent requirements, and re-use of water, continues Andersen.

At the same time the two companies has signed an exclusive license agreement where Tianren will represent Biowater and its CFIC® technology in the Chinese municipal market. The potential value for Biowater for this 3-year agreement is NOK 80 mill.
