The Challenge

RPM is a plastics recycling plant that processes a variety of resins including HDPE, LDPE, PVC, PP, and PS. RPM utilizes a custom-designed washing system that required a wastewater treatment.


The Design

Biowater’s CMFF® Two-stage Moving Bed Bioreactor technology was implemented as a wastewater treatment system. This design was selected for its ability to handle not only high strength wastewater, but also variations in flows and loadings with minimal operator attention.
